Reel to Trip ("we", "us") turns the Instagram reels you send us into mapped trips and itineraries. This policy explains what we collect and why. We keep it short because we collect as little as we can.
What we collect
- Reels you submit. The Instagram reel links you paste (or forward), and the places, captions and details our AI extracts from them.
- Your Instagram handle, if you provide it, so we can match reels you forward to your trips.
- A device identifier stored in your browser to keep your trips associated with you without requiring an account.
- Basic usage and error logs to keep the service working.
How we use it
Solely to provide the service: reading the reels you send, extracting places, enriching them with map and location data, and building your trips and itineraries. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Third parties
We use trusted providers to run the product — including cloud hosting and database infrastructure, AI processing to read reels, and mapping services to locate places. These providers process data only to deliver those functions on our behalf.
Your choices
You can delete a reel or a trip at any time inside the app. To request deletion of all data associated with you, contact us and we'll remove it.
